The Moomin 80 collection celebrates the values that connect us to the Moomin stories the feelings of love, friendship, and acceptance. The most central lesson from the Moomin stories is indeed that the time spent with family and friends is invaluable.

The illustration of the Moomin familys happy reunion in front of the Moominhouse is based on Tove Janssons comic Moomin and Family Life from 1955. In this story, Moominmamma and Moominpappa rescue Moomintroll from the waves of the sea. Soon, they realize Moomintroll is their long-lost son, and the family can return home together. Complementing this story, the other Family Time items show the reunited family spending time together in leisurely coziness and exploring the possibilities of the beautiful Moominvalley, where horse chestnuts are in bloom.

Muumi 80 -kokoelma juhlistaa arvoja, jotka yhdistvt meidt Muumi-tarinoihin – rakkauden, ystvyyden ja hyvksynnn tunteita. Muumitarinoiden keskeisin opetus on todellakin se, ett perheen ja ystvien kanssa vietetty aika on korvaamatonta.

Perheen parissa -kuvituksiin on ikuistettu muumiperheen onnellinen yhteenpaluu, joka perustuu Tove Janssonin sarjakuvaan Muumiperhe (1955). Tarinassa Muumimamma ja Muumipappa pelastavat Muumipeikon meren armoilta. Pian he tajuavat tmn olevan heidn kauan kadoksissa olleen poikansa, ja niin he palaavat kotiin uudelleenyhdistyneen perheen. Perheen yhteinen tarina jatkuu kuvituksissa, joissa perhe viett laatuaikaa puutarhassa rentoutuen ja hevoskastanjoiden kukittamassa Muumilaaksossa seikkaillen.
