Time taking shape

The Raketa Malevich Circle is the result of the Factorys collaboration with the prestigious Russian Museum (in St. Petersburg) which is home to Malevichs entire geometric cycle including the Black Circle.

The circle is a fundamental element of the Suprematism concept invented by Malevich: like the Black Square it is the simplest of all forms, but unlike the Black Square, it has an active characteristic to it. Indeed, instead of placing the circle in the centre, Malevich shifts it to the upper right corner, which makes this shape dynamic and deprives the painting of unambiguity.

The dial is made of genuine semi-precious stones selected for their visual resemblance to the painting. Laconic in colour and shape, the watch model allows for limitless interpretations, just like Malevichs abstract bstract works.

The mechanical movement of the watch is produced from A to Z at the Raketa Watch Factory in St. Petersburg and expertly decorated by the Factorys masters. Malevichs entire geometric cycle is printed on the oscillating weight.

The Raketa Malevich Circle model is limited to 500 pieces.
