TillandsiaFlabellata is an air plant with thick, shiny leaves. The leaves range from a deep green to maroon. This is one of the few species that can actually be planted in a well-draining orchid mix orsphagnummoss (similar to T. Cyanea). Our plants are the vigorousGuatemalan variant. They are relatively quick growers and can get as tall as 12 inches. When in bloom, a simple orange to red bloom is produced. Our plants range significantly in size.
