The Moomin family head, Moominpappa, is an adventurous character, but at the same time very thoughtful and reflective. Moominpappa likes to write memoirs of his youth and share them with the other residents of Moominvalley. Moominpappa always wears a black top hat and carries a walking stick. He often smokes his pipe on the terrace of Moominhouse.
