Bremont is proud to have been the first watch brand to sign the United Kingdoms Armed Forces Covenant in February 2019a significant commitment that underscores the brands longstanding relationship with the British military.
The Bremont Broadsword is a modern interpretation of the classic three-handed Dirty Dozen timepiece, reimagined for todays wearer. Powered by the chronometer-rated BE-95-2AV movement, it features a sub-seconds hand at 6 oclock and sits within a robust two-piece 40mm hardened steel case. The hands and dial are treated with multiple layers of luminous paint, staying true to the original military specifications issued to the British Army. Finished with a khaki green sailcloth strap, the Broadsword is both functional and refined.
British Made Reinvigorating the British Watch Industry
Its no coincidence that the world sets its time by Greenwich rather than Geneva. While Switzerland dominates modern luxury watchmaking, Britain was once the worlds horological powerhouse. In 1800, half of the worlds watchesaround 200,000 annuallywere crafted by British watchmakers. Perhaps more impressively, over 6070% of the innovation found in todays mechanical watches, including every major escapement design, originated in Britain.
Bremonts mission has always been to help restore British watchmaking to its former gloryan ambition as bold and enduring as the timepieces it creates.
